API3 is a Web3 solutions for decentralised API. Its aim is to provide solutions for decentralised applications (dApps) that face issues when using traditional Web APIs such as calling real-world data through oracles. API3 offers a number of solutions such as Web3 APIs Search and Airnode. Developers may use provided APIs through Web3 APIs Search. They may also run their own oracle nodes through Airnode. API3 is DAO-Governed, Data-Provider Operated, Quantifiably Secure and Cross-platform. 

API3 is the token used in the platform. It has three main utilities: Staking, Collateral and Governance. Staking grants rewards in API3 and also contribute into the API3 platform itself. API3 is used as collateral which backs insurance services in order to protect users when dAPIs malfunctioned. API3 may also be used for governance that grants direct representation in the API3 DAO. API3 is an ERC-20 token with a maximum supply of around 100 million tokens.
