Bancor is a open source, permissionless, decentralized trading protocol that is operated as decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). Its liquidity protocol are fully on-chain and can be managed on any smart contract-enabled blockchain. Bancor network is interoperable, but currently operates on Ethereum and EOS blockchains.

BNT is the utility token for Bancor network. Users able to receive rewards when they stake BNT in the liquidity pool. Stakeholders of Bancor network are also given the rights to vote for the protocol's future development.
