Bitcoin is a decentralized and fully digital currency that was created by a person or a group called Satoshi Nakamoto. Back in 2008, a document called whitepaper was published suggesting a peer to peer system, which allow payment to be sent directly from one person to another without the need of going through central authority or banks.
