Proton is a blockchain that is focusing on providing payment solutions. Proton aims to make cryptocurrencies more accessible to everyday consumers through a number of features. These features are universal @names, verified identity through identity providers (KYC and KYB), built for stablecoins such as USDC, PAX and TUSD, 4000 transactions per second, no gas fees and in-wallet payment request. In the future, Proton will integrate fiat payment by moving fiat bank account into Proton wallet. Proton will also feature lending and borrowing cryptocurrencies later on. 

Proton Token or XPR is the utility token in Proton. There are three main utilities in Proton which are as governance token for voting blocks and proposals, as resource token for when applications need to rent resources on Proton chain, and as staking token for getting users commitment and also tiered reward in certain features.
