Ethereum Classic is the result of Ethereum hard fork, back in 2016. Its creator are the original Ethereum developers; Vitalik Buterin and Gavin Wood. It is a decentralized computing platform that runs on smart contracts, which allowing applications to perform exactly as programmed without the possibility of censorship, downtime, or third-party interference. It can facilitate the exchange of money, property, content, shares, or anything of value. Ethereum Classic is very much similar to Ethereum, however, it has no intention to convert to Proof-of-Stake (PoS) mining algorithm like Ethereum, or at least not yet.
